Damaged / Defective Merchandise
If an item shows up damaged you must notify us within 72 hours (3 days) of receipt of your shipment. Email customerservice@lighttrends.com or Fax 1-509-267-4867 or by Phone 203-655-4472 x-204 include order number, product number and the nature of the problem. Replacement parts will be sent when applicable otherwise a replacement will be sent at no cost to you. Return labels will be sent to return the defective merchandise.

Due to the heavily discounted prices many items are special order and NOT RETURNABLE--please inquire.
Return request must be requested within 30 days of receipt. Freight Damage Claims must be made within 72 hours.
Items that are not returnable include some high-end ceiling fans, all crystal chandeliers, Koch + Lowy Lamps, Robert Abbey Lighting, some over size chandeliers please inquire.
Returnable items are subject to a restock fee of 25% to 50% plus the original actual shipping cost (even if free shipping was indicated) and return shipping. Cost of Shipping: You are responsible for the return shipping cost and the original shipping cost (even if free shipping as indicated.) Only the cost of the item will be refunded less the restocking fee. Made to order fixtures are not returnable including but not limited to Genie House, Brass Traditions and Fourteeth Colony.
Visual Comfort 30% Restocking Fee
Hudson Valley 50% Restocking Fee
Currey & Company 35% Restocking Fee.
JV Import 35% Restocking Fee. Murrey Feiss 25% Restocking Fee. Please note large fixtures are very expensive to ship and you will be responsible for all shipping charges.
When you contact us please describe the reason for the return.
You will receive a return authorization number from us which depending upon the manufacturer can take up to 10 days. You cannot return the item without this number. Returns sent without a return authorization: no credit will given, products will not be return or delivery refused.
You must ship the item back in the original packaging and box that is was sent to you in and it must be insured. You are responsible for the item being returned to be in new resalable condition.
Items must never have been installed. If there are any signs of installation no credit will be given and items will not be returned.

You
may cancel your anytime without cancellation fees as long as it has not
shipped. If you an item is back-ordered we generally notify you the
next business day. *Expect products that are custom made or made to
order fixtures which cancellation fees will only be charged if the
respective manufacture charges a fee. Made to order manufactures include Brass Traditions, Fourteenth Colony , Genie House, Hubbardton Forge, Lt. Moses Willard, Meta Light, Meyda Tiffany, Northeast Lantern, Norwell.
